Adriatic Sea

The Adriatic Sea is part of the Mediterranean, and most of its shores are occupied by Italy and Croatia. But you can also dock your yacht in Slovenia or Montenegro, for example. There is a big difference between the west and east coasts - while the west coast is steep and inhospitable, the east coast has more than a thousand islands with some of the most beautiful sailing locations ever. In addition, the weather is relatively predictable, and its location makes the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea suitable for first-time boaters.

We recommend going to the Adriatic from the end of April to the end of September. The peak season is June, July and August, when it's at its warmest, but also when prices for boat rentals are highest. But you can also come here after the high season in October. The weather is more changeable, but the sea is still beautifully warm. There are a number of marinas in Croatia where we can rent you a sailboat or catamaran, such as Trogir, Split, Dubrovnik, Kaštela or Šibenik. You'll find plenty of tips on exactly where to go on our blog!

Aegean Sea

The Aegean Sea stretches between Greece and Turkey and contains over 6,000 islands, the most famous of which are Rhodes, Santorini, Naxos and Kos. The season in this part of the Mediterranean is slightly longer than in Croatia, and you can even come here in early November. Temperatures are ideal, but from mid-May to mid-September you have to watch out for the Meltemi winds, which can be a bit troublesome at times.

Ionian Sea

The Ionian Sea, considered by many to be Europe's best ever destination for a family cruise. Beautiful weather, calm, turquoise seas, green islands, relaxing coves with beautiful beaches, historical sites and hospitable Greeks. You'll find islands like Corfu, Kefalonia, Zakynthos or Lefkada that you may have already visited as a "landlubber", but trust us, the experience is even better when you sail on a yacht. Also, the Ionian Sea is in season until November, and the water is even slightly warmer than the Aegean.

Tyrrhenian Sea

This captivating part of the Mediterranean belongs almost entirely to Italy. Apart from the Italians, the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea can only be enjoyed by the French, who are at home on the island of Corsica. This part of the Mediterranean is ideal for sailing, with several alternating winds. You can come here from March to November, with an average temperature of a pleasant 23°C in summer. If you love beaches, point your yacht towards the shores of Sardinia or Corsica (read more in the article about Sardinia. These beaches will take your breath away!). If, in addition to swimming and sunbathing, you also like to delve into history, you shouldn't miss Sicily (and our article about Sicily.)

Caribbean Sea

Do you prefer to go to the seaside in winter? No problem! Just make more time to read, because we have a lot of articles about the Caribbean on the blog. The season here runs from December to April and the sea is, without exaggeration, stunning - and vast. It's impossible to sail it all at once, so you'll have to pick a specific destination to explore. Will it be the British Virgin Islands, the Grenadines (The Grenadines. Follow in the footsteps of the Pirates of the Caribbean!), St Lucia or perhaps wild Belize?

Andaman Sea

And finally, we head to Asia. India, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia all have access to the Andaman Sea, but the Thai part is the most popular among sailors. The best time to enjoy a yacht cruise here is from November to March, when there is no rainy season. At the same time, Thailand is one of the countries that shows a completely different face to tourists who explore it by boat rather than on land - instead of crowded "famous" resorts, you can explore the most beautiful parts of the country, enjoy the sea and savour the great cuisine.
